Walmart Treasure Hunt in AZ

Today me and Rachel went on a treasure hunting adventure.

For those of you who don't know what it is, it's an evangalising tool where you get words or images from God beforehand, and then you go out and fine God's treaures!

It AMAZED me how easy it was. We asked 12 people if we could pray for them, and 10 said yes! Everyone was so open and receptive to Jesus, it was wonderful!

Here is one of the stories:

CHRISTOPHER:

The minute we got out of our car in the Wal Mart parking lot, we hit the ground running. A man ran up to us and said "I need some money for a bus fare, do you have any?".

Rachel gave him the fare money, and asked if we could pray for him because he was on out list (Rachel had written down Wal-Mart, and intersection at a bus stop). He said yes, and we began to pray for his needs.

Then I (Heidi) spoke into Chris' life by saying that I felt led to pray for someone who was lost and seeking direction, and someone who needed something with a car. Ding Ding! Chris said 'Yup, that's exactly me!' Chris was feeling like he was going nowhere, and he needed help with money to fix his broken car.

It was so wonderful how Jesus dropped Chris off right at out feet, and how we got to speak directly into his life.

..........................
....................................................................................................

We also prayed over several people who needed jobs and needed healing in different ways, it was AMAZING!!!!!! One sweet lady told us that we made her day and began to cry. I am so overwhelmed how God's kindness has found so many people right when they need Him, and we get to be His voice to lift them up!

I just want to encourage all of you to step out and do it! We want to go every Monday, and I plan on going out once a week as well at least.

Let me know!

Chandler Mall Testimonies!

Today I (Heidi) and my friend Annie took the Treasure hunting evangalism (writing down clues, places and people that God may want us to pray for), out to Chandler Mall. God led us there through clues like Movie Theatre, restaurants, and different stores that were in the mall. We arrived with expectation to meet the people God wanted to touch and speak to.

  • Our first stop was in the food court to pray for two little boys with hearing aids. They were very open to us praying for them, and one of the little boys excitedly recited a Hebrew prayer for us (the funny thing is, is that Annie is a Messianic Jew, and knows Hebrew!). We are now believing that they are fully healed!

  • Next we stopped a young man name Antwon that God highlighted to us as he walked by. He was surprised that we were praying for people, and mentioned that we could pray for his Mom who had just had bone surgery. We joined hands with him and prayed for her full healing, and after Annie shared with him things she felt were on God's heart to encourage him. He was very encouraged and said, "that was exactly what I needed to hear right now!"

  • After leaving Antwon, we saw an older man in a wheelchair with a leg brace. We approached his family, explained the treasure hunt, and asked to pray for him. His son (I believe), stood with a smile on his face and asked us if we believe in Jesus, and then proceeded to tell us he needed prayer too, but God already healed him so much! We rejoiced with him, and before we could pray for them, he prayed for us! Annie and I were so blessed as we recieved their prayers, and prayed for them before we left!

  • Next stop, we found a lady on our treasure map (older, african american woman with graying hair). She practically walked right into us as Annie explained our treasure hunt, asking to pray for her and her husband. She asked for prayers for good health, and as we prayed, Annie heard the Lord tell her things to encourage this lady with. She shared with her how God has not forgotten the ways that she has sacrificed many things for others and looks on her with so much joy and love. She was moved to tears as Annie shared and left us looking encouraged and surprised at the God encounter she just had.

  • Our last divine appointment was on our way back through the food court with somone bearing one of our clues (a tattoo!) We stopped at this young man's table asking if we could pray for him. He gave us a few things to pray for, and after we prayed Annie stepped out to encourage him with what she felt the Lord saying to him. What she shared went right along with his current situation as we found out, and he was so encouraged that he stopped us again as we were leaving the food court to thank us for stopping and praying for him!

Praise God for what He did today!! We are so excited to go out and do this again together next week! Jesus also loves YOU so much and wants you to know this love in His kindness to you today! I pray that He touches your heart with this kindness today and that He wants for you also to have an encounter with Him as much as the people we ministered to!

Walmart Testimonies - Part 2

Chris: Meanwhile, I had gotten myself lost, so I decided to buy some propane in the camping section. When the employee asked if I needed help, I inquired about those bug zappers that look like tennis rackets. A middle-aged female employee named “Bo” went on a search to help me find it. We went to quite a few places, and I said, “That’s ok, I think I need to head out soon anyways.” She said she would check one last place just to satisfy her own curiosity, so I decided to follow her. It was then that we really began to talk and I asked her if she knew about Bethel church. She began to share that she used to pray for healing, and she saw her friend’s headache healed once! However, she believes that some people have sicknesses so that people can help others through it, and God can get glory from their good attitude and joy through it. I responded, “Yes, God can turn all things for the good of those who love Him, but what God has been speaking to me about is this: what brings Him the most glory?” I shared about the man blind from birth that the disciples had asked about, saying, “Why is this man blind? Was it his parents’ sin or his own sin?” Jesus responded in this way: “It was neither of their sins, but it was to display the glory of God.” Right when she said, “Yep,” thinking it was proving her point, I said, “So Jesus healed him.” Then I shared about the Greek word for salvation, “sozo,” and how this word that is used for salvation is the same word used when Jesus healed people – they were “healed” (aka “saved”). I told her that we are pressing through to believe that all could be healed who desire it, because it gives God the ultimate glory! As we were leaving, we asked if there was anything that she needed healing for, or any miracles that we could believe in faith for. She responded that her father, Al, had Alzheimer’s and that they needed to get him into a 24-hour care facility, but he was out of town so it would be hard. We then showed her our Treasure Hunt list, and “Alzheimer’s” was written on it! Her eyes got wide when she saw the list, and we had the chance to pray for his healing!

Wal-mart Testimonies!

Heidi: On our way over to Wal-mart with our ministry team from Bethel church today we asked the Lord to show us His thoughts and the treasures that He wanted us to look for as we were shopping. This is our second time doing a treasure hunt, so with anticipation to see God move we wrote down the things that randomly came to mind. Some were….detergent, baby, Emily, cancer and generations. Our first divine appointment was all these things! We walked into Wal-mart and realized we were standing right next to the detergent when we were suddenly stopped by a lot of traffic. We looked over and saw an older lady holding a baby. Taking a chance, we walked over and told her she was the treasure we were looking for. Showing her the list of things God showed us, we asked if we could pray for her. She said yes, and pointed to her hips which hurt. I asked her what her name was so that I could pray for her, and her name was Emily!! Knowing now that this wasn’t a chance encounter, we asked if anyone in her family has cancer. Looking surprised she said yes. So in the name of Jesus we prayed for her hips to be healed and her sister’s throat cancer to disappear. After we finished I asked her if this was her grandson she was holding, and she said no, it is her great grandson, and her daughter and granddaughter were standing right in front of her…three generations!!

Feeling led to the baby section next, we saw a family walking through one of aisles and we just stopped and asked if we could bless and pray for them. Three more of our treasure map words were revealed as we realized the dad was wearing a pink hat, and they said they had an Uncle with heart disease. Surprised as they were, we prayed with them for their Uncle and got to pray for their baby boy also, who wasn’t feeling well. The cutest thing was that they had with them their 6 year old twins and they both said “thank you” to all of us in stereo as we left!

Now we were excited!! One of the guys we were with had the word butterfly, and as we turned away from meeting with the twins, we saw a lady walk down an aisle with a butterfly tattoo on her arm. When we finally caught up with her we told her she was on our treasure map. She was so surprised that we had picked her out to tell her that Jesus loves her that she wasn’t sure what to do. Tears started welling up in her eyes as she told us that her life was so bad right now that she doesn’t really believe in Jesus, but seeing the risk we took to step out and tell her how much she was loved really touched her. Our friend Brandon shared with her how he saw her as a child drawing and now God wants to use that gift for Him. She started crying more as she told us she grew up drawing as a child and has been painting in her laundry room recently in all the frustration and stress. At that moment I shared my testimony with her and explained that because Jesus loves her He is revealing Himself to her right now. We asked to pray with her, but she wasn’t ready to accept Jesus yet, so I prayed over her a deeper revelation of the Father’s love for her and that He would show her He is real! As we were leaving, we found one more thing to prayer for as one of the things on our list was revealed….she had a skin disease that only appeared when she was stressed, so in faith we believe she is now healed!

What a day already! Looking at a few more of our words, we found "Phil", "Winco", and "broken finger" down in the paper section! Our friend Brandon went to pray for this man he saw in a wheelchair and found out his name is Phil. He had just fainted at a Winco store and now he had lost feeling in his fingers. Brandon asked to pray for him, and then declared in faith that his fingers would be healed. Phil looked at his fingers immediately after and said, “Wow! I can feel my fingers! I couldn’t do that before,” as he moved his fingers all around!! Praise God!

Celebrating in Disneyland 2009

Yesterday was Heidi's Birthday and what a wonderful day to celebrate many things...our marriage 8 1/2 months ago, Chris' birthday last week and God's goodness over us! Where to celebrate?? Disneyland of course! So here's some pictures of our very fun day and some Testimonies of Divine appointments that God brought us while we were there!!

....Two hours of waiting in line for Splash Mountain (our favorite ride!), was God's perfect timing for us to meet a sweet lady in line who shared with us that she has been struggling with symptoms of MS, and yet to God's glory has been healed and has been free from the pain for 3 years!! Her mom has been praying for her and she acknowledged that she believes God has been working because of her prayers! We got to just encourage her, share testimonies that we heard of people being totally healed of MS at Bethel church in Redding. Heidi also shared her own testimony and prayed that the woman's healing is now fully complete!

....While waiting for Heidi, Chris ended up filling our water bottles at a water fountain in Frontierland, right where another God appointment showed up! While answering questions about where the best spot to see the fireworks is, we found out this Mom and daughter love the Lord and also both have the same birthday as Heidi (7-27)!!! We encouraged them with testimonies from ASU, prayed for healing for the mom's shoulders, and sent them on their way with all smiles to see the firework show! God is so Goood!

....Scurrying quickly over from fireworks to Fantasmic proved to again be perfect timing as we sat with another couple for the show. With half an hour to talk, we found out they are from Australia on their last day of their visit to America!! They shared of their adventures and let us in on some amazing places to visit, while the whole time feeling like we had known them forever. Long story short, we swapped information after the show and made some good friends that we hope to encounter again with the love of Jesus!
...
Soooo.......At the end of day, we felt so much heavenly peace filling us and joy refreshing us as we knew that God had planned this day long in advance, and each place that we went Jesus went with us. We can't wait to go back, but until then we are bringing the Kingdom of Heaven wherever we go, and that is the Happiest Place on Earth!!

Revival Breaks Out at Disneyland!

We're about to head out to Disneyland for Heidi's bday! Here's an AMAZING STORY we found about God breaking out at Disneyland just a month ago!

It's about 3 young people who decided to go see God answer their prayers at "the Happiest Place on Earth!" At first we almost couldn't believe it, but we watched kid after kid testify on YouTube that they were touched by God and healed! Read on.......

[Jason Chin] "I went down to see my best friend, Jason Tax, in Los Angeles, just to visit for a week and hang out—and who knows what adventure the Holy Spirit might lead us into. Jay and I love to do street evangelism together. On the way down, I saw a Disneyland sign, and I remembered the times of lying on my bed dreaming with the Holy Spirit of revival inside the theme park. I thought, “Wow that would be cool if that ever happened for real.”

I had the privilege of speaking at my friend’s church on Wednesday night, and after the service, a lady asked me if I wanted a free ticket to Disneyland the following day. Yippie, Jesus. I thought, Wow! Those tickets are $94! Jason Tax, Hannah Ford and I went to Disneyland to have a great day in the sun with the Son—and God set us up through one key miracle of a young man’s shoulder that was in a sling.

We approached him and asked if we could pray for healing. Jesus instantly completely healed his shoulder and he removed his sing and began to test it out. He started crying from God’s goodness, and he told us how he could not raise it at all because of a fresh torn rotator cuff injury. He then started raising his arm over his head and moving it as freely as the other one. His friends explained how he is the star football player at their school and he would have had to take the entire year off from football after his scheduled surgery, so we explained the gospel of Jesus Christ and the miracles to the group of eight or so, and they all got saved...and two of them got healed—one of scoliosis.

They would come to us and say, “Can you heal this?” as they would point to a lump on their knee or a bad ankle. We would answer something like, “We can not heal anything but Jesus can heal everything and that same Jesus is in you now, so everyone put your hand on this person and say, ‘Be healed in Jesus’ name! Now test it out.’” Really, that’s how we prayed: “Be healed! Now test it out.” Almost every healing was instant as the looks of shock appeared on the faces, then praise and cheers to Jesus would erupt from the crowd of youth!

One girl was so scared as her friends dragged her up to us. She was almost crying from fear. We told her, “Hon, you have nothing to be afraid of. This is Jesus and He loves you very much.” She had extreme scoliosis and a dislocated thumb that was in a hand brace. She was still very much afraid so we told her, “We won’t even need to touch you because the glory is here. Just remove your brace and move your thumb around.” She did and her thumb was instantly healed. We asked her to touch her toes and then check her back out. She did and her friends lifted up the back of her shirt to check out her spine. They all screamed because it was now perfectly straight. Jesus! We asked her if she knew Jesus, and she said no. We told her it was Jesus who just healed her and asked her if she would like to know that Jesus? She said yes, so she got saved...

We witnessed bone knots dissolve from knees, asthma healed, crooked knees straightened out, and eyes healed. Some protruding ribs were pulled back into the chest. A super cool thing was how each kid got saved and then we prayed for them to be filled with the Holy Spirit and almost every kid felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. They would then ask us questions like, “Can you make the sadness I feel leave the inside of me?” All their friends would say, “I feel that way, too,” so we started praying in large groups, commanding depression to leave them and joy to come.

Kids were crying, laughing, yelling “Jesus,” saying things like, “I can’t believe this! This is way better than any ride here!” Those kids were getting set free. We prayed for healing for the first few kids only. Then we taught the youth that the same Spirit dwells in each of them, and then we watched Jesus heal through their hands! We witnessed around 120-140 healings, most of them instant and about 100 or so decisions for Christ, of which 50 or so were first-time decisions, asking Jesus to forgive them of their sins. Yea, Jesus! One young man came up to me and said, “I never knew that Jesus died for me,” and he yelled at the top of his lungs: “Jesus!”

--------------------------
So in the light and testimony of what God just did recently, be in prayer for us, that as we have fun today at the Happiest Place on Earth, that heaven comes down to earth and we encounter the divine appointments God has for us too! Whoo hoo!
=)

Healing Testimonies

7-21-2009(Heidi)..Prayed for a beautiful, kind lady at the ministry school for her arthritis, after praying twice, her left hand was totally healed, and only a little pain was left in her right hand! I am believing that she was totally healed during the rest of the school! God is so good!

7-23-2009 (Heidi)..After the school on this day we were commissioned to go the city and pray for who God led us to. While at Safeway, God led me to a young lady leaving the store whose walk looked very burdened. I waited for her to put her groceries in her car, and telling her she was the treasure God was looking for, I asked her if she needed prayer. Her eyes looked sad and hopeful, and she asked that I pray she could have a child, because she lost her first in miscarriage. I prayed for her, and she seemed filled with more hope, and allowed me to give her a hug, before sending her on her way!

7-23-2009 (Chris)..Prayed for a young woman named Laura in Safeway, and saw the pain in her back get better! The pain was a 3, and got partially better!

With our new friend Mark!

7-26-2009 ...While spending time with our friend George for lunch, we were sharing the healing testimonies shared at Bethel church in Redding, and a young man came limping by. Almost as though Chris knew him, he came walking up to our table, and Chris told him that we were sharing testimonies of healing. Noticing the limp, Chris asked if we could pray for his leg, which he revealed had an elastic brace on it. At first he was reluctant, because he didn't want to lose disability if he was healed. However, we assured him that God would be able to provide him a job if He healed him (and a home, since he is homeless at this time). We then prayed for Mark, and he saw a noticable difference! His pain went from level 7-8 to a level 2 (0 being "no pain," 10 being the worst pain). He was quite surprised and since God was moving, we prayed again and the pain went away COMPLETELY!! He was filled with joy that God would touch him, and he went away rejoicing. We could see such a difference in the way he walked! Praise God!!!

7-26-2009..Met an older man outside a grocery store later, and found another divine appointment! He was asking for people to help donate to their women's shelter, and as we stopped, he immediately said, "You're Christians, aren't you?" He was so excited that God sent us and knew God had a reason! We found out that he had Glaucoma and one of his eyes had no sight at all. We prayed twice with increasing faith that his eyes would be totally healed right there. We believe, even now without seeing immediate results, that God is Good and this man is healed! Thank you LORD!

Hiking in the Wild West....well, not really

Before heading out to Disneyland, we have been staying with our friends, the Richardson's! They have been so wonderful to us as we have been like little whirlwinds blowing in and out of their home :) Today we went on a drive with David, and his daughter Sarah up to the mountains in Pasadena. It was Amazing! We went to some beautiful campgrounds and here are the resulting pictures!

Bethel Church, Redding California

We've just arrived at Bethel church, home of Bill Johnson (amazing teacher of the Word), and a wonderful team of intercessors. We are here for their ministry school and have so far been so BLESSED by what they have taught and imparted to us about the faith they walk in and the keys God has given them in ministry. We have so many testimonies of God's goodness to share, so keep watching; we'll add many more as we go on in the four days that the school goes on.

Thank you again for your support that got us here!! It has been one of the BIGGEST blessings to us and reallly showed us that God loves us even more than we can imagine!!

Camping in the Redwoods!

Camping the Redwoods is an experience never to forget! Just look at the size of that tree! It really shows you the majesty of God and how BIG he must be, even though we feel so small in this huge tree! It has been amazing here, hiking and just relaxing in the peaceful presence of God's amazing creation! We wish we could stay longer, but another trip is in the works for someday in the future. Here are some more pictures of our campsite and sites around there! We even saw three deer on the last day, with a picture to prove it! You can click on any of the pictures we post to get a BIGGER picture :)

Dinner and Lunch with the Lews!

Here we all are at TGI Fridays, enjoying dinner with Uncle Don, Aunt Betsy and Chris' cousins, Donald, Patricia and Jenny! We had such a fun time staying with them on this trip up to San Jose and will be seeing them again on our way back to Arizona the first week in August. After dinner we were treated to one of our new favorite places....Yogurtland!!! In this picture Heidi is wearing her Yogurtland t-shirt from Barb, so perfect timing! The next morning we had an early lunch at Red Robin (YUM!) and now we are off to Santa Cruz to camp at the Redwoods! We'll see you there!....next post :)

Friday, July 17, 2009

We had a great dinner with our beautiful friend, Iris, and were able to pray for her boyfriend, Steven. He has had nerve damage that has caused his hands and feet to be in pain (feels like needles). God's presence was so tangible in that moment that we prayed! We are so excited to see what God wants come to pass!

We safely arrived in Pasadena and are staying with our wonderful friends, David and Jeanie tonite! Tomorrow: leaving in the morning to head over to San Jose! Sweet dreams till then!

Preparation for Trip!

After over a month of dreaming and planning, we are setting off on our California roadtrip, desiring to be led by God into divine appointments, step out in faith, and rest in His presence during this time! Keep us in prayer as we are out on the road for about 6 hrs today! Thx!
