This was my first experience pickling and it was even more fun because I actually grew the cucumbers in my own backyard! These are Alton Brown's spicy pickles (recipe found here). They are delicious! Next time I will I get a crock like Alton uses, instead of using my really wide crockpot. I think it will help the spices infuse flavor into the pickles even more! But not a bad start! And no, I did not can the pickles...I just put them in jars in the fridge. Canning will be a whole other day, but not right now!
"The more you see the more you will see there is to be seen. It is an exciting adventure, a surprise around every corner, never a dull moment, horizon's cracking, new horizon's looming, every possession an invitation to possess more, every solution gives the key to further solutions. You're on the tiptoe of expectancy, life beckons" --E. Stanley Jones
